Online Child Safety Pioneer Aisha Tilstone Launches Digital Kids Show at Event City

Online child safety has been a hot topic for months and Cheshire based mum of two and entrepreneur Aisha Tilstone has been one of those people keeping it on the news agenda with her website and annual Child Internet Safety summit which regularly shares thought leadership and advice for parents, teachers and those responsible for children, to help keep their children safe online.

But now, Aisha’s latest brain wave the ‘Digital Kids Show’ is set to bring to life the exciting world of the Internet in a fun, friendly and engaging format suitable for the whole family.

The first of its kind, the Digital Kids Show will feature six zones including Gaming and Retro Tech where parents and kids can play their favourite games old and new together, Appletics and Kids Food Zone showcasing the best apps for getting healthy, learning skills and eating well, Safe Tech Zone helps to inform parents about best practice for keeping children safe online with advice on dealing with cyber bullies, avoiding predators and staying protected from hackers and viruses. The Digital, Stem and Coding Skills Zone provides children with skills for the future mixing education and fun. The Children’s Media Zone will be a great space to meet children’s TV favourites as well as vloggers and bloggers and learn tips. Finally the Exceptional Angels Zone showcases the best inclusive and gender specific tech goodies.

As Ed Vaizey Minister of State for the Department for Culture, Media and Sport said:  “Digital Kids Show provides an exciting and unique platform for businesses which operate in the digital world but want to engage on a personal basis. Packed with fun, educational and informative activity it really is the perfect event to get involved in and attend.”

The show expects to welcome in excess of 10K visitors each day to Event City and provides a fantastic platform for businesses operating and wishing to enter within the Digital consumer world. In fact, Digital Kids Show has already attracted the attention of some big brands including the BBC, which has some exciting plans for the Children’s Media Zone.  Supporters of the show include TIGA, IWF and the events official charity partner The Diana Award.

With exhibitor stands and dedicated zones to provide brand activation the Digital Kids Show is currently inviting businesses to take space at the event and become sponsors.

The event also features fairground rides, a soft play area, a driving experience for 11-17 years old, a scooter disco and a real chance to meet the brands behind the families most loved gadgets, the event is the first platform of its kind that connects the end user to the brand before a purchase.

The show is set to be headlined by Children’s TV sensations Dick and Dom as well as featuring a plethora of other talent from the world of Children’s TV and media, taking place on the 29 and 30 October 2016.

Aisha Tilstone, Digital Kids founder said: “This is the first event of its kind and promises to bring the online realm into a fun and engaging format for families to enjoy. There is so much to enjoy and explore online and this event is about celebrating that in a family friendly format. It won’t just be the children who are set to learn, mum and dad will get lots from attending. It also creates an exciting and unique space for exhibitors to showcase their products in an engaging way.”
