Following on from a successful year in 2013, EventCity continued to grow in to 2014, hosting some of the UK’s biggest consumer and trade exhibitions, attracting visitor numbers that exceeded all expectations.
EventCity has experienced a 60% increase in bookings compared to the same time in 2013, which only cements the theory that the venue has earned its place among the top exhibition venues.
The venue is now recognised as one of the major players in the event venue industry and was recently named fourth best exhibition venue in the UK in the EN Elite List. Andy Orr, Managing Director at EventCity commented on the announcement “We are thrilled with the recent announcement that we have been named the fourth top exhibition venue in the UK. The team has been working tirelessly to build the venue up to what it has become in such a short space of time. Home to some of the UK’s biggest consumer and trade shows, we are set for even more success in 2015 and beyond, something that the team here is more than ready to embrace”.
The signing of the Ideal Home Show and Ideal Home Show at Christmas at EventCity this year was testament to the growth, success and commitment of the venue and its staff. Both events experienced unparalleled success, welcoming approximately 70,000 visitors across the two shows. Plans have already been announced by the organisers to extend the show to four days in 2015. Visitors to the Ideal Home Show, and many other shows at the venue, travelled for more than one hour to attend the events; further confirming EventCity is a destination venue that pulls people from outside of the North West.
Other show highlights included Play Expo, which welcomed 19,000 visitors and The Manchester Pet Show, which saw 9,000 visitors to the two-day day event, a 30% increase on last year. Carrie Mosley, Manchester Pet Show organiser said “The EventCity team offer excellent support and flexibility, and when there is any issue they offer solutions, all of the things that are key to our business. The venue is an excellent space with great transport links and free parking and we hope to continue to grow the Family Pet Show at EventCity for many years to come. Everyone had such a great time and we were delighted with the increase in numbers. The EventCity team was great – their flexibility and support shone through in the most varied of circumstances from the cleaners looking after micro pigs to a virtual Noah’s Ark being dealt with by security. The team at EventCity handled everything impeccably. We can’t wait to do it all over again in 2015!”
A recent survey carried out by EventCity resulted in highly rated feedback based on a number of factors, one stand out aspect was the superior customer service provided by the team. One show organiser said “EventCity was a great venue to work in, nice people, really accommodating, nothing was too much. It’s very much a two way street, we became part of their team, they became part of ours and the joint goal is to get the best out of the venue and the exhibition”.
