·         EventCity, Manchester, 21 - 24 January 2016

12 October 2015: From safaris to cruises, adventure holidays to rail journeys, ‘Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show’ provides the ultimate in travel inspiration for 2016.  The UK’s leading and longest running travel show will be bigger than ever in 2016, taking place at two locations in London and Manchester. Visitors can take advantage of a host of ‘show-only’ exclusive offers, discounts and upgrades from leading travel companies around the globe.  And with a range of special events – from travel photography masterclasses to food tastings, travel writing to travel health advice – it really is a one-stop shop for all lovers of travel.

Rob Debenham, Show Manager says “The show is a ‘must-visit’ event for anyone interested in holidays and travel, with the UK’s biggest choice of travel ideas from leading and independent travel companies. This year there is more to see and be inspired by than ever before with over 550 travel brands in London and 200 in Manchester.”

A special feature of the London show is the ‘Stanfords Travel Writers Festival’ - a programme of exclusive talks by acclaimed writers, all included in the price of the ticket.  From explorers and adventurers to politicians and poets, the festival brings to life the magical world of travel writing.  Celebrity speakers at the 2016 event  will include Simon Reeve, Kate Adie, John McCarthy, Levison Wood, Simon Calder, Nicholas Crane and more.

Inspiration can also be found at the two ‘Meet the Experts’ Theatres which provides over 50 hours of free travel advice, whilst the ‘Experience the World’ stages are designed to showcase the cultures, foods and entertainments across Asia, the Americas, Europe and Africa.

For the first time the Manchester show will feature the MASTA Travel Health Clinic, providing a team of expert nurses to advise on holiday health concerns, as well as a new travel photography masterclass giving tips on everything from how to tell a story with composition  to which lens to use.
